Charles E. Pettijohn, D.B.A. is a Professor of Marketing and Director of the Huizenga Sales Institute at Nova Southeastern University in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
He has spent more than 30 years specializing in sales programs which included the study of selling ethics and behavior, sales training and performance and critical sales skills, and has authored nearly 100 journal articles on these and related topics. As a result of his research, he was recognized as a Dean’s Distinguished Professor at Missouri State University for 11 consecutive years. In addition to this award, he has received outstanding paper awards from the Marketing Management Association (1997, 2000, and 2009) and the Association of Marketing Theory and Practice (1996). He has received the Faculty Recognition Award for Research from Missouri State University in 2006 and 2000 and from the College in 2003 and 1999. In addition to these awards, he has received the Excellence in Teaching award (2002) and Excellence in Service award (2004 and 2000). He is also co-editor of the Marketing Management Journal and on the editorial review board for four other journals. Dr. Pettijohn is a former President of the Marketing Management Association and in 2001 he was recognized by the association and selected to be a Fellow of the Marketing Management Association.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Missouri Western State University, a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University.
